Montclair, NJ – September 26, 2012. On the heels of the successful launch event this past summer, HudsonMOD has announced that they will host a charity event on October 18, 2012. Cosponsored by Michael Anthony’s Waterfront Restaurant, the event will take place at the restaurant from 6:00 to 10:00 PM as the picturesque views of the lower Manhattan skyline serve as the backdrop for the evening.
The event—deemed Harvest on the Hudson—focuses on the farm-to-table dining experience and the benefits of choosing produce and seafood selections from local providers with Michael Anthony’s famed chef, Bryan Gregg preparing the evenings menu.
In addition to the selection of hors d’ouerves and sipping on delicious cocktails, Harvest on the Hudson will exclusively benefit No Kid Hungry. This national campaign connects kids in need with nutritious food and teaches their families how to cook healthy, affordable meals. The charity, which is strongly supported by the Food Network and many celebrity chefs, also places an emphasis on educating the public that childhood hunger needs to be a national priority.
“No Kid Hungry has been a favorite charity of ours for a long time and this opportunity to introduce such a wonderful cause to our partners and supporters amongst the lights of Manhattan is a dream,” says President/Publisher Shannon Steitz.
Every ticket purchased for the event includes a donation to No Kid Hungry, hors d’ourves and signature cocktails. Guests are also invited to tour a 70 foot luxury yacht docked beside the restaurant and enter to win exclusive giveaways that include a 2-night stay at One Bal Harbour in Miami Beach Florida.
